​Ribbon Cutting

Join us as we celebrate the completion of our new accessible entry, elevator, and restroom—an important step in opening our doors wider to the whole community. This project also includes the restoration of our beautiful Rose Window, enhancements to community gathering spaces, and thoughtful preservation upgrades that care for our historic building while supporting its sustainable use for years to come. Together, these improvements help Wicker Park Lutheran continue to serve as A Place for All!

You’re invited to join the celebration on Sunday, May 17 beginning at 11:30 a.m.

  • Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with special guests

Project Highlights
  • New ADA-compliant entrance, stairwell, elevator, and restroom
  • Restoration of the original 1906 Rose Window
  • Community gathering space improvements, including a new kitchenette for receptions and meetings
  • Preservation upgrades to the 1906 landmark building, including replacement of cloth wiring, new lower-level windows in community spaces, and improvements to address water infiltration and sewer backups

Where is this being held?
  • Weather permitting, we’ll be outside in the Wicker Park Gathering Garden on Hoyne Ave. That's in front of Wicker Park Lutheran Church at 1500 N Hoyne Ave. Chicago, IL 60622 at the corner of Hoyne Ave. & Le Moyne St. with the celebration to follow inside the building.
